Smoky Paneer Tikka without Tandoor and Zansaar Giveaway Winner
4Tandoori is most loved cooking method in Indian dishes people who are health conscious prefer tandoori dishes over any other, if rightly done tandoori food tastes delicious because of its earthy aroma and taste one by smokiness of coal other due to special tandoori masala blends that are readily available in the market, but I always prefer to make my own blends for almost all spice blends according to our preference.
I just can’t get enough of aromatic spices and flavours that provide a unique kick to my taste buds each time I take a bite.
Tikka is one of most liked tandoori dishes whether it’s chicken tikka or its veggie counter part Paneer tikka. There are many ways to cook paneer tikka, you can grill them in oven, cook them on tawa or barbecue them for that unique smoky flavour. But real barbecue may not be the feasible option for the people who do not have any outdoor space for a barbecue.
So does it really mean that one should compromise on the flavour and taste recently I have learned about this method of smoking the dishes that is not messy and can be easily done in your kitchen. So tried the same method in this recipe { Generally we use a traditional barbecue for tandoori food , but cooking this way taste was almost same way } so if you want the smoky flavours of tandoori this method might work for you.
A very filling and flavourful dish this is , so whenever I am making this paneer tikka for lunch or dinner I generally cook Roasted/stir fried veggies and some sort of salad to go with it to make it more filling and nutritious. We made a meal of this with Parmesan roasted cauliflower and chickpeas salad.
