Few years ago from now blogging was an unheard thing for most of us it was a thing which geeks did to peruse their hobbies

. Thanks to booming social media, an easy access to Internet and tech savvy Gen Next who are more open to sharing and learning about unconventional things there is a new career which is emerging fast that is of “professional bloggers”. Till now an untapped potential of influencers, to which everyone has woken up to, and started recognizing them.

Dell blogathon 2012 which was conducted in Delhi on 26th May was one such an event to celebrate blogging which was for bloggers and conducted by bloggers. And a real celebration it was, you could meet bloggers from every genre Fashion, Technology, Food, Lifestyle, photography and even one PowerPoint blogger an unheard topic till now, well it was, at least to me.

An event which was conducted by Blogathon India and was sponsored by dell, belkin and Yebhi.com, kick-started with an informal talks by representatives of their marketing divisions, understandably centered around their new products and how new technology can make your life easier and effortless.

Dell and Belkin both the brands which made blogging easier for me as I use my dell laptop for blogging and Belkin because I am using their router to create a hot spot at home (5 computers and 3 smart phones on same router).

I would never have thought that you can stream TV from the set top at your home to a tablet or phone even when you are miles away from home according to your preference, and the way you would have watched it in the comfort of your home all your favourites and preferences right there accessible by remote on your phone screen. All this possible due to a small device from Belkin which you can attach to your set top box and watch your favourite programs live right there on your phone screen.

A person from Yebhi.com an E-Com portal was their to explain about their new products and new website experience to make life easier for their users and customers with unique offer to become their affiliate an aspect which almost every blogger wanted to explore.

All this was followed by a food and drink break, Most interesting part for many bloggers , as I observed from the place I was sitting , I could see people had a good time with an interesting snack buffet and unlimited Foster to drown it.

How a foodie in me could let interesting names of the dishes go unnoticed Following were dishes on offer If you are foodie you are going to love this App nomenclature . But Could not get to click the pictures of the lovely stuff there as there was an enthusiastic bunch of people who just made that impossible to click pictures when all they wanted was to eat it .

Food break over and after everyone settled down, we got to meet 4 Amazing people started with Karan Singh who calls himself psycho-illusionist (Note: not a plain vanilla magician) who won the audience with his number tricks. Followed by Abhishek Baxi who planned his entire wedding using a very well known app. Evernote.

Third person on stage was Gaurav Mishra , those on twitter they know him as Gaurvonomics , An early blogger who says he started blogging in 2003-2004 and loves it so much that he is still a blogger at heart.

And what an apt finale a performance by theatre person, a scholar, a teacher, a person who dons many hats Andrew Hoffland or Uncle Andy as people of Delhi know him. He regaled and enthralled all the bloggers which spectacular performance about mimicking the people with various international accents.

This was not all the entire event was being tweeted live by bunch of enthusiastic people and there were many prizes and gifts from sponsors based on this tweetathon. All in all a good afternoon spent in the company of interesting bunch of bloggers and so well conducted by Host for the afternoon Karan Bhujbal.
