oils are not only add to the taste of the dish but impart an exotic touch to
any ordinary dish. Till now I always used to buy them from store. Never ever it
crossed my mind that these can be home made.
since I read about citrus zest oil in famous food columnist Rushina Munshaw’s blog, I so wanted to make it at home ! Did I tell you that I am a huge citrus
fan, simply love the sharp notes which are enough to invigorate mind as well as
an instant mood lifter for me.
reading her post and googling about infused oils I tried my own and let me tell
you results are excellent and I am not going to buy them from store..ever
zest 2 tbsp
virgin oil 1 cup
the fresh zest from any citrus fruit; I have used two types of zest 1 tbsp tangerine
and 1 tbsp orange. She has mentioned many ways to collect the zest. I simply
removed the peels and sliced it fine and added it to olive oil.
it for 5 days and drizzled it over my cucumber salad.. Very refreshing and a
sweetish sharp taste. I am absolutely loving it!!
