If you love Mexican food, than you know that Mexican food is incomplete without guacamole, tacos, fajitas, quesadilla any thing guacamole is must to complete the dish.
It is healthy, yummy and so easy and goes well with any Mexican main dish and not to mention famous chips and dip. The trick to prepare perfect guacamole is good, ripe avocados.
In India avocadoes are not that easily available only few places you get good ones , sometimes it is raw or sometimes its raw so check for ripeness by gently pressing the outside of the avocado. If it is little soft to touch, the avocado is ripe and if it is hard and does not yield it is not ripe yet and will not taste good.
Tip: If you have bought avocado which is not ripe yet store them in a jar of rice or a brown paper bag to ripen completely before using them to make guacamole.
- 2 avocados
- juice of 1 lemon (about 1/4 cup)
- 1 medium tomato chopped
- 3tbsp fresh cilantro
- 1 teaspoon chopped jalapeño pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
Put the avocado flesh into a bowl.
Add lime juice and mash together with a fork until creamy.
Fold in tomato, cilantro, jalapeño pepper, and sea salt.
Guacamole is ready to be enjoyed
